Our Story

For many years, our community has been without a girls-specific basketball league. With co-ed leagues being the only option, many girls were discouraged to play basketball at all. In 2023, this group decided that a change was needed, and Red Pride Girls Youth Basketball was created. In our inaugural season, more than 180 girls were registered to play across the five age divisions, with nearly half of these girls being first-time players. With the momentum this community now has with RPGYB, we look forward to watching these young girls develop their skills and grow the Plainfield basketball program!
